Considering solutions to the big questions facing Sarasota, the world, and the United States today.

Six to eight times a year we will have symposiums addressing our 10 chosen topics. In addition, we will publish thought pieces on all of these topics on a regular basis. We aren’t about politics or present issues, but rather face the future at this critical time for humanity.

Sarasota Institute, founded 2017

THE Sarasota Institute - A 21st Century Think Tank

In the Spring of 2021 we received our confirmation from the IRS. We are now a 501(c)(3) and donations to TSI are tax deductible.

OUR PLANS

We began hosting live, in-person symposiums post-Covid in October 2021 and will continue through April 2022 and possibly a few throughout next summer. The TSI symposiums are held on the campus of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota in their brand-new performing arts theater that seats 150 guests. In addition, we plan to have smaller events in the College’s brand new technology center, which includes a start-up incubator.

Every symposium or event the Institute presents will be filmed, edited and posted on our website for TSI members who were not able to attend or live outside Florida.

We have created new membership prices. One membership will be for local members who can attend our in-person events and one membership will be for on-line, virtual global members. Discounted tickets will be available for active students from local high schools and our regional higher education institutions.

White Papers will be published on the 10 topics that we think are of greatest significance for the future of humanity in the 21st century. Our focus is to provide unique solutions to these 10 big issues confronting humanity. See the list of topics at the top of our website.

IMMEDIATE UPDATES

There are currently eleven TSI podcasts available on this website. We anticipate the number of TSI podcasts will continue to increase throughout the year. Our podcasts are now available on all major podcast platforms for free downloading. (Apple podcasts, Spotify, Google podcasts, etc.)

The TSI website has recently been updated. Our goal is to create a user-friendly site and to provide additional benefits to all of our members.

What other 21st Century Think Tank could you become a member of that is purely focused on the big things facing humanity in the next few decades? That is not partisan; conservative or liberal? That is not beholden to corporations? That is focused purely on what is ahead in this historic decade?

What humanity does now in the 2020’s will set our trajectory through at least 2050 if not for the entire century.

Stay tuned!

THE FUTURE OF MARKETING AND MEDIA – 3/27/2022

Sunday, March 27th 2p-4pm EST

What does the future of marketing look like? When the climate crisis points to less consumerism and wealth inequality grows, what role will marketing play in our collective future?

Dr. Philip Kotler
“THE FUTURE OF MARKETING”

Dr. Kotler is the single most important thinker, professor, and advisor in the history of marketing. He is regarded globally as “the father of modern marketing” with more than 80 books published and thousands of presentations given. In this presentation Kotler looks at how marketing must and will change in the years ahead. Marketers around the world listen to him. You can as well.

Jack Myers
“THE FUTURE OF MEDIA”

Myers is widely considered to be the futurist of all things media as his prognostications about it have proven to be true for the last several decades. In the U.S., the advertising and media communities look to Jack to see where media is going and how they must adapt to it. A unique perspective from a media visionary.

Streaming is just the latest massive change in media. What does the future of media look like and how much change will there be from the reality of today? What role with technology play?

China vs. the U.S.: Competing Visions

China and the U.S. provide quite different visions of how to serve their citizens and how to help the rest of the world.   China is an authoritarian state run by one political party, China’s Communist Party (CCP).
